The premise of each game in the series is to emulate the sport of professional wrestling, more specifically that of WWE, and present improvements over the previous installments. It was then co-developed by Yuke's and Visual Concepts from WWE 2K14 until WWE 2K20, when Yuke's had left the development team. Yuke's was the sole developer of the games prior to 2K14. Raw, or simply the WWE series, is a series of professional wrestling sports video games developed and released annually since 2000.

Though the fact that there isn’t a year attached to this game makes me think that we’ll see more improvements and add-ons over time. If you’re expecting depth anywhere close to WWE 2K15, then just keep walking. If you want to be able to fire up your phone while waiting in line at the bank and beat up John Cena as Rusev you can do that without problems. In the end, WWE 2K is a bare-bones, yet mechanically functional mobile title.A lot is missing from this package, but if you’re looking for a traditional wrestling game with touchscreen controls and your favorite stars, it holds up on the basics. If you’re hoping for the all the bells and whistles of the console games, you’re going to be highly disappointed.Although Game Informer ultimately recommends fans wait for an updated version of the game to come out before spending $7.99, the review does highlight some bright spots.
